Confession: Three

I am weird; I know this is not news to people that know me personally but, not only am I just weird, I like and do some crazy weird stuff. So, I’m just going to go on and let you in on the least weird, weird things about me.

First thing is that I am always compelled to press my toothpaste – or any tube I see – from the bottom. Like it’s so bad, if I see a tube (not limited to toothpaste) pressed from the middle, whether it’s mine or not I instinctively reach out to ‘adjust’ it. Weird. But, who presses their toothpaste tube from the middle?! Are you a murderer? Why would you do such an horrific thing to the innocent tube. You need to repent!

Another thing is, I love the smell of the rain soooo much, especially when the building has red bricks. It smells so divine, I could almost taste it. I also like the combination of rain and earth/soil; the smell is very rich and peaceful even. Now here’s the weird part, for someone that’s crazy about the smell of nature, I hate, HATE, the smell of freshly cut grass. It makes me want to puke! Yuck. It’s like I can smell the whole green in my body and my stomach turns at the thought. Shivers.

Moving to something interesting; I like, like, like fresh haircuts especially on men – MY MEN 😉. I always notice this, it’s like an ability I have to be able to tell when a person gets a new haircut, even the slightest trim ! The weird part is how much I enjoy this. I love watching people (men) get their hair cut. It is very satisfying; from the buzzing sound of the clipper to the actual art of cutting the hair… wooosh! It fascinates and excites me. I could watch haircut videos all day long, the transformation is super satisfying. To this end, I enjoy watching Babu’s haircut videos. He’s talented!

Moving on, I eat the weirdest food combos. I no dey do pass myself sha and Oke is my boss. Like I said I have my limits; I do not eat snail or catfish. And for the record, snail tastes like sand. All of you that eat this thing and think you have elite taste or tastebuds, you deceive yourselves. [Please don’t argue with me. Thank you].

Another weird thing about me and food is that if I am present when they’re slaughtering a hen/cock, I will not participate in the eating of that chicken. Especially when we have reared it at home for a bit. How do you feel participating such carnivorous activity?! It’s like eating your pet!

Of course I do not have any problem eating a cow that’s been slaughtered in my presence. I don’t mind that at all. It’s just for chickens.

Finally on my confessions for today, if we have ever interacted in person more than 3 times, it’s a very high chance I know what your hands (fingers especially) look like. I don’t know how I do it or why, but my brain takes a snapshot of people’s hands, especially if you always make gestures when we talk. It’s a secret talent. Shhh 🤫.

I really hope you enjoyed this post. Stay safe guys, wash your hands regularly and eat healthy.

P.S: Don’t forget to like, share and leave a comment too. Thank you ☺️.

P.P.S: If you can relate to any of these things, let me know in the comment section. Seriously, please leave a comment I want to know what you think about this.

Love 💗,

Chris!•

Smiling along while reading, don’t know when the laughter comes in because I check out hands and nails too. I might not find you attractive but if you have a good looking fingers and nails, we go click pah. Funniest part is that I don’t know how I managed to have a spouse that I don’t find his fingers nor nails nor hands attractive. Nevertheless we clicked. Talking about fresh grass cutting, even if its been cut miles away I can perceive it and I find the smell very annoying. But then, I love snail, especially when the cook knows how to prepare it to crunch, uhnnnn, yummy.
You doing well ma, well done

I can relate to the rain, toothpaste and the smell of freshly cut grass. Oh! I actually remember the hand thing… But wait you don’t like snails? Anyways, to each his/her own. I don’t like catfish either, it really just irks me seeing it, not to talk of eating.

You’re not weird hun, you’re simply unique and I like that about you. I also have things I’m repulsive to and they’ll definitely feel weird to someone else. Nice write up tho
