I had a dream last night

Where I was in love

And I was loved

I was my happiest

But I woke up with want

Clawing at the fading

Fragments of my dream

Watching in a haze

As the dream

Whispered off into the night

Reality replaced my dream

And alas! I was alone

Longing for what

I would only have

In my dreams.
